Pitch Perfect
Woodlanders fall into several sects. The largest and most popular sect is the New Worlders. The next largest groups are the Foresters, Cleansers and Baptists. The least popular sect is the Positivists due to a falling out with the Prime a hundred years ago.
Dr. Mon Massey made great strides in mending the riff between the Positivists and the other Woodlanders with his landmark remaking of the Positivist Theology in “The Nine Steps to Positivity”. Dr. Mon Massey even achieved the status of Woodlander Excelsior, only three tiers below the Prime himself.
Since the publication of his nine volume series, hundreds of animals have joined the Positivist movement. This movement is fully of highly zealous animals, eager to help others live a life of positivity.
Positivists have spread around all inhabitable areas spreading the positive news, as well as seeking what they call the “Great Hope,” an undefined person, place or thing that they believe is the ultimate source of positivity in the universe.
The Forbidden Zone
No post-apocalyptic story is complete without a forbidden zone. Mine is Toronto. Although, the animals know it as Torontos. This is mainly due to a translation error from an ancient human map.
As you may have noticed the scenery in Canada has changed substantially after the cataclysm. Once the water was displaced and the wars were finished, the majority of the world resembled a desert.
Fishy Situation
After the Awakening the Fish had little social interactions with land animals, for obvious reasons.
As the Outer Rabbits’ technology began to be understood the Fish quickly developed new ways to become more land-based. Their drive to interact with other creatures helped them excel in developing technology. This earned them high respect among the animals, even gaining a position of influence in the First Ones Council (though it was well understood that no Fish were actually among the first awakened).
After the Cleansing and their participation in the Animal Wars against the Jungle Folk, the Fish lost favor with the Woodlanders. They eventually went back into seclusion in the Northern Sea.
